Default A few days with Ginny and Terry

Loaded up Wednesday and headed to Riverwood for a few days with Ginny and Terry and friends. Gotta say the people staying at Riverwood were very friendly and look out for everyone. If your looking for a place to park a camper for a few days I highly recommend this campground. Anyway got the camper set up and boat put in slip

Thursday we fished the Pole and trool, clinkers and Haulover in the morning with nothing to show, fished the afternoon up north to around the Boston Whaler plant and still nothing happening. Went ate dinner and headed out shrimping and got a whole 4 shrimp and called it a day. Made it in and unloaded and everything put away just before the cold front came in and started howling winds. Stayed windy and cold all day Friday and boat never left the slip and Sylvia never left the camper. Enjoyed a nice sunrise though

Saturday was a new day and the fish were cooperating, caught redfish, snook, trout all under slot, a pile of Mangroves with 1 nice 16", a pile of sheephead with a 13" and a 17" making the cut to join the cooler and 1 lone whiting making the cooler. Then we headed in cleaned fish ate dinner and headed out shrimping for 2 hours before heading to the campground New Years party, actually was alot happening every night as Terry's son was on leave from Navy and down for some relaxation. Ended with 2.5 gallons of shrimp for the ride home

Good times, I'd like to meet those folks sometime. That's enough fish and shrimp for a good boil.

You need to give freelining live shrimp a run. Things can actually get pretty excited and start jumping out the water trying to escape just like wild shiners and finger mullet.

Yes it is Andy. Very convenient having boat less than 100' away ready to go. And very scenic area.

And their spot is tucked back in the corner on a flat next to a creek. They can watch out their window for tailing reds and run out and ptch a bait on em. Great place it is fer sure.
