    Default New member introduction

Would like to say hello and introduce myself. This could get a little lengthy so I'll apologize before hand. My crappie.com name is Fish'n Fla and was selected to identify myself as a fisherman that fishes many species in many parts of our beautiful state. I was lucky enough as a child to have a father that spent his weekends fishing, camping and hunting with his family. I have done my best to do the same with my family.
As far as crappie fishing goes, I was hoping for a fishery that would entertain my daughter's at an early age and spark their interest in fishing. We soaked minnows at Lake Monroe with limited success. After a few years of this and not much improvement I was about to give up on crappie. Instead I decided to search the Internet for methods to improve our success. That's when I stumbled on Crappie.com (late 2014). My daughter joined the community but had a hard time learning to post a thread and eventually gave up. We continued to follow and we're informed and entertained.
We soon were catching many more fish and some very large slabs soon found their way onto our jigs. I would like to thank everybody in the community for the info and especially Anchor Man for his informative posts. We soon found our way up to Vic's winter home lake and enjoyed immediate success, although never keeping more than we cared to eat. Name: 20141214_115811.jpg

As mentioned early we travel (camping most often) around the state fishing, chasing anything Fla. Has to offer. From Snook in Chokoloskee, monster red throughout our east coast river system to sailfish, dolphin and kingfish on our southeast coast.Name: image.jpg

So thank all of you in the Crappie.com community and especially Anchor Man for the informative posts. You never know when the post that you share will keep a family involved in your love of chasing these beautiful Slabs!
So go out and enjoy the fishing opportunities this State has to offer and take a kid with you when you go.

Looks like I'm still having trouble with the earth's rotation (sideways pic's)

Read his reports and saw the proof in the pictures and figured I need to do whatever he is doing

Have not been lucky enough to meet Vic, just lucky enough to visit his winter lake. Hope to make it to a crappie.com event soon to meet all of you. Saw the event at Lk. Griffin and am checking my schedule.

Welcome from Orange City. Yes, you did learn from one of the premier ambassadors of our sport and this site. Vic and Eileen are two real good folks and can put some nice ones in the boat. Your pics of the family and the adventures are super. You will never have to wonder about what they will do later in life as they do as they are shown. You are proof of that from your Dads teachings. Really enjoyed your post and look forward to meeting you and the group one day soon. Mine is the blue Bass Boat with the rooster tail behind it and the antique child at the wheel........Skeet
