Lake istokpoga plant removal
Just learned plant removal (mechanical only?)went on earlier this year by FWC. Any updates on how fishing is good or bad because of this. I'm reserved next weekend at Henderson fish camp, first time on this lake. I saw some of the comments from earlier this year and hope the waters settled down by now. Thanks

Other than changing the amount of cover for the fish, I would say the bite would be back to it's old self by now. Chemical spray bothers them more and lasts longer as the sprayed weeds decompose. As I remember, the only weeds they remove mechanically are Hyacinth, a floating surface weed that chokes smaller areas pretty bad. I'm sure that you'll find some fish to keep you busy.

GOOD NEWS!! Henderson is where my sister nd husband have spent the last 18 or so winters, including this one.Last report--yesterday--they were in the weeds. Really Shallow lake deepest hole i ever found was 8 ft . Plants are usually harvested nowhere near Henderson. If you are staying there for the weekend just tell them you wan to meet Sandy,she and her husband Jerry will take good care of you. they own a little place there.Yo will recognize we look alike and we re just alike! 14 months apart!
