Been checking some of the upper river gauges and so far it doesn't look too bad next few days will tell the story still hoping for the best
Came across the river on way home today and that storm sure put some water in her. I bet the Seminole side ramps are closed shortly. I think the river fish are gonna be un accessible by boat again this winter. But I hear tell the best river man just got a yak. Guess I will have to drag him out for a few runs before the water gets too cold.

I rode down to French ave ramp today. That river is way up. Dont know where it came from but looks like a barge broke loose and ended upnin the woods across the river and just south of the ramp. Unless that barge has something to do with all the cypress logs piled up at ramp. Hopefully they arent cutting cypress on the river.

I haven't spent any time on the St Johns, what makes the fish inaccessible?
Yep, they will be way back in the trees and hard to get to. If the flood is too bad we will have a fish kill. A few years back we had a tropical storm that dumped 30"inches of rain on the St. John's river basin we had a massive fish kill. Woodruff had a line of dead fish 10 foot wide along the bank. I think it was because of the extra tannic acid causing an oxygen deprivation in the water. What ever it was it was a mess, but the river bounced back.
10-4.
Was wondering if it was someplace I could get my mudboat.
You know how the Florida woods are along river banks. Fish go deep in and tough to get boats back there. Maybe could though. Probably work great during spawn on Monroe and Harney getting deep into the weeds to the open pockets deep inside the cane.
