Nice! And just think back in January she would have probably been knocking on the door of 12lb.
My first 10 pound plus, 12' rod, 6# Hi Vis line, 12 dollar spinning reel, Orange Chartreuse Arkie Shinee Hinee Jig.

Thanks Mike!
This is what's so great about fishing, you have the opportunity to catch a big one, and release to fight another day. Just happened to be another fisherman nearby, who came over and snapped a few shots. I was very careful with her before releasing. A good feeling it was, to watch her swim away.

If you was entered in the trophy catch program that fish would be worth som bass pro gift cards and chance to win a boat!!!

Great job! I can imagine that was a battle on a 12 foot rod! Way to go, congrats on the release also.

Thanks Kid,
Was spider rigging for crappies, I knew when I set the hook, it was a good sized fish. Took me under one other rod, which I was lucky enough to get corrected. I was fortunate enough to be in open water and no snags, as she took drag three different times. The fisherman in the other boat, was more excited than me I think!
