My papa taught me to catch specs on Lake George out in the bombing range. Great lifetime memories and good eating
Still catching them in Eustis, Saturday we kept 32 and sunday we kept 22 and we threw a bunch back but the biggest thing was watching the smile on my grandson face every time he put one in the boat so he was smiling a lot. But I am sorry I didn't get to Griffin Park, would had like to have showed up to meet some of the fine people of crappie.com that I have been enjoying a lot of there post. Guess I was to focused on the beautiful weather we had and the fishing. Will have to catch up on one of the next one's for sure.

Have you heard of grasshopper pond it's just south of lake george
Yes I have, there is grasshopper lake and little grasshopper lake in the forest. They are next to each other, never fished them though. Think they are more well known for bass fishing.
Believe it or not there are four different lakes you can get to, where the ramp is you go straight out and around a bend to left through another shallow lake then another and end up in the fourth which is pretty deep. Fishing with my grandfather over forty years ago it was getting pretty grown over cant imagine what everything looks like now. Caught my biggest bluegills ever in that water.
