Default Missing Boater on Lake Beauclair

Crews searching for missing boater near Mount Dora | Local News - WESH Home

This sounds like the "dead-Man" switch control was not utilized.
If you boat alone you should never disregard this safety feature, Also a life vest should be considered as "YOUR TICKET HOME"

I think it's called a kill switch. If you're dead, and still in the same place, it won't kill the engine no matter what you attach it to. Just sayin'. But so sorry to hear about the missing boater.

Sorry to hear this sort of thing. Always need to hookup that kill switch and wear your PFD.
Prayers are sent for him and his family.

Well its obvious he either fell out or was ejected from the boat somehow.....kill switch was not being used as boat was found running in circles....its possible for the boat to run over you like that.....dead or not that would not be good. Flycaster is right....use your kill switch and wear your life jacket.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I saw 2 boats only this morning that even from a distance looked too all to be there
I just went out to the lake and NO SEARCH IS GOING ON NOW. has been t7rned.over to orange coumty. I have left a message for them so I can tell them where the 2 boats were thisowning hopefully give the a.more accurate starting point .
