I had a regulations booklet but my kids misplaced it somewhere in my house. I went out this week and bought all the items I need to filet fish as I never had any til now. I bass fish often but catch and release those.
You are allowed 25 crappie per person in a boat
There is no length limit on lakes you are planning on fishing
Lake Griffin - Leesburg has 10'' limit
Lake Okeechobee has 10" limit
Lake Medard, Brandon has10" limit
Pick yourself up a freshwater fishing rules & regulations at
most any Walmart Store in Sporting goods area

PSSST hey here is something for ya. Them bass eat just fine too.
Don't worry - them first couple filets may look a little ragged, and couple may
look like they died on operating table...........but as you catch more - filets will
get better .. And they are all so good when dipped in flour or batter and french
fried............
Best part is - you and boys caught them.............Thats what life is all about -
being together - doing things together.
nce report and some good catching
Well I consider my first crappie excursion a success. My boys and I boated about 10 crappie on Lochloosa today including a 1.47lb 13.5" long slab that I caught. All on minnows and slip bobbers with depth about 5-6 feet deep in 6-8 foot of water.
Got there at about 7am and there was a line of vehicles waiting to launch their boats and the parking was nearly packed. Never seen so many boats on a lake at once. Lochloosa Harbor is great and I'll definitely be back soon to hone my crappie catching skills more.
