    Default Harney Today

Me and my fishing partner of 41 years decided last week to fish Harney today. We have caught thousands of Crappie so have some idea how to do it. Fished from 0645 to 1100. Fished water from 3 ft to 9 ft. Drug minnows, jigs and jigs tipped with minnows. After seeing how everyone did yesterday we were pumped. Had 6 bites and caught 4 fish, only 2 were keepers. Not sure what we did wrong. We are both retired Air Force so we are going back on Wed (Veterns Day) Maybe the lake will be kind to a couple of old retired vets on our day.

Pretty much everyone yesterday was longlining. 1.1-1.3 was the best speed I found. They was likely in a foul mood with this front coming in. Good luck on Wednesday and thank you for your service.

    Dad-gummed Glenn ! ! ! !
Something was wrong, we even had blind people catching fish .......
(You was spittin on yer hooks weren't ya)???????
Don't understand that at all .........
Stay deeper than 7 ft, try the east/west/north/south ends, and in between = we caught em everywhere .....
    Pushin and pullin .......
Hope ya'll do better next time .......

I was there too and had a little better results but nothing like everyone had yesterday. Lost a couple of real nice ones.
