Default Well, I snuk back ..........

Decided to sneak back to Harney and try out my "new spot/spots" .....
Hmmmmph, got one med, bout five little fellers ...
Decided to head to my hole where I could at least get some good size fish.
Got a few then bite slacked off, decided to just troll around the lake a looking .......

Took SkeetBum's hint and tried three beetlespins (white grub/pumpkin grub/chartruse grub,
the pumpkin grub never did nothing all day but my two pumpkin tube jigs did good.
Caught a few on the white grub beetlespin (and white tube jig).
Kept expecting the chartuse beetlespin to knock em dead, but never did nothing .....till .....
Half way across the lake the chartuse beetlespin hooked up, brought in a boss 14"r ....
Only one that thing caught all day .......
Finally wound up with 17, called it a day................

Got friend and his brother here (Titusville) from England, they want to catch some redfish so,
will be taking them out Wednesday (weather permitting).

Oh ! ! ! Computer is getting real bad about not wanting to come on when I push "ON" button.
Typical BS stuff with "start circuits" instead of just applying power to the system ....
So, if ya don't hear from me, I'll probably be down and out till I get er fixed ..........

    Have a nice day,
    Danny

Nice mess of fishes !! Hopefully the wind/weather stays good for SAT - looks good now
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

    Hey now ! ! ! !
    I'm game ! ! ! !

I got a friend that used to have a gheenue with a big 50hp Mercury on it, that thing looked like the motor was about to sink the back
of the boat, but when he cranked on her = watch out, it'd fly ...........

    OH ! ! ! !
You wasn't supposed let anybody know we was fishin together ! ! !
Now they'll for sure be following us around the lake ..........
    But, that's OK, that's OK, we'll still win .............

Nice job Danny! Couple years ago I had 1 color combination on Monroe that caught very few fish a trip. But the ones it did catcb were just mean and nasty old fish. Has not happened since that year but always got it on 1of em every trip to this day.

Speckanator I will buy the gas and throw in a hundred bucks to watch you wind that ole vrod up to 6500rpm and make 2 laps round Harney. But I pay when you walk back on dry land! And I will even let ya put Phantom on the bow for ballast.

Good bunch of fish ya got there Danny, Glad I could offer a hint . Monroe looked good about 3 today when I was headed home with lots of cloud cover. That either means they feed like crazy or send ya home with a bloody nose. Glad you had fun.
My brother and I had lots of small boats with what we thought were big motors on them back in the early 80's. Had a 12' Jon with a '56 - 18hp Johnson that almost took both hands to pull start. That thing would scream but wouldn't turn. At about 15* it just kept going straight. Made quick maneuvers out of the question. Cypress Gardens and Sea World used an 8' tunnel boat called a Flivver(two V's) that was made for 10 hp or less. 20 hp made them scream and there was a guy on the Butler chain that had a 40hp Merc and a steering setup that let him move the weight forward. I would NOT have tried to drive that one, but it was fun to watch outrun Mom and Dads bowriders. My current boat is as experimental as I care to get anymore.
