    Default Heads Up !!

St. Johns River Boat Traffic To Be Restricted For Drawbridge Work

This prolly won't affect any of us during the time since most aren't fishin a lot this time of year & most of our boats will clear the bridge.

Just thought I would pass it on:
Sanford, FL-FDOT says work on the railroad drawbridge over the St. Johns River will necessitate putting the bridge in the locked and down position for two weeks beginning August 16. That bridge spans the river between Volusia and Seminole Counties.

The work will restrict the river to marine traffic passing under the bridge span there to only vessels shorter than 8-feet 6-inches tall.

The span will reopen August 29. Railroad and SunRail traffic is not expected to be affected.
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

Wonder how many boats will stack up on Saturday mornings waiting on the bridge to open. Usually a healthy bunch of big pleasure boats and offshore boats out there on weekends.
