I think that you will be surprised when you go to fish the fish finder cables. I think they used a zip tie somewhere around the throttle area. I could not remove the transducer cable with our cutting the cable. I had to loosen the whole starboard side of interior to install the "new" transducer cable.

Looking good! Did ya try the trolling motor it came wiyh at all? Would you have any chance against wind? Really dont understand them under powering a trolling motor and not at least having the option of upgrading like the Nitro boats. Inunderstand them selling a base package to get looks but at least offer the upgrade without forcing you to sell on craigslist.

Nice rig! I love my Tracker.

Keep an eye on your trailer bunks. They aren't treated or marine purposed wood. I found out the hard way while launching the boat one morning..... A bunk launched off along with the boat. Easy fix when the time comes....... Hunt for Cypress 2x4s and your golden for years.

Best of luck and times in the new rig.

I did try the TM and after being a previous terrova owner, I can't believe MK still makes the PowerDrive. There is no way the 12v would stand up to my longlining on a windy day.

Well Flycaster, you were absolutely right about the transducer cable, must be a zip tie by the throttle so I cut the cable on the old one. Used a hanger and fed the new cable through with ease.

The terrova fortunately installed smoothly as planned.

Will put all the paneling back on tomorrow after work and the last switch will be the rear deck seat base that I'm switching to a 3/4". Ready to get her back out on Saturday!

Glad to hear that the little bit if info helped. I tried to get the panel off, but did not work thru it. Easier to cut the cable. At least the cable can be spliced back.

Although we got skunked (my fault for not doing the research...) on Hatchineha this past Saturday, it was nice to get a feel for the fishing setup with three of us. My Mom and nephew trolled 2 rods each out of the back and I used some telescopic rods (2 13' & 2 16') off the front. I wish the seat base on the bow was a few inches forward, but otherwise it was a pretty good setup. I swiveled the fishfinder around and could watch it through the windshield which was nice. So far, the Garmin is really shining. I just hope they open the door to some more mapping options.

I did have a scare at one point. I flipped on the bilge and a bunch of water was coming out and I thought I had a leak. Opened the front storage compartment and the 15lbs of ice I had on drinks had mostly melted and it drains to the bilge area.

Going to push forward with this current setup for a few more trips to see how we like it. Next consideration is rod storage for the long rods...not sure how I want to go about that yet. We are also considering adding a bimini top down the road so I have to factor that in when figuring something out for the rods.

The engine performed even better on the 2nd trip out, you can tell how much it wants to get broken in. The WOT went up to 5600 RPM with a GPS speed of 40.2 mph. Transducer holds bottom reading throughout which is great. She does blow out on turns a bit, just have to remember to trim down first, but will consider a 2nd prop after the break-in period.

Because the boat is nearly 1.5 feet shorter than my last, just working on organization and how to keep it all uncluttered while fishing.

I'm also contemplating trying a rod holder in the versatrack area and see how it is to troll from the lower cockpit area.

You're having fun with the new rig. Lots to do. Keep an eye on the heat generated by the charger, I had to space mine off the bulkhead to make me happy, mine gets real warm and I wanted to let it draft as much as possible. Good lakes for a shakedown too. Butler chain is also a good ride but real busy on the weekends with large , fast boats.
