To a lake, river or estuary near you. Great read on the state of the Mosquito Lagoon. I believe his dates are a tad skewed as I believe the demise of the lagoon started around 2005 with the gas prices rising and followed by the grouper and snapper ban. A ton of offshore boats were replaced by skiffs and every saltwater show had several shows a year from the lagoon. That place is a mere shadow of what it was in 2005. Anyway if you get an itch for the brine every so often ya better read. Might better read regardless.

I don't agree with a lot of the article but I don't have any answers either. I remember the mid 70's and 80's it was a fisherman's dream for trout. Never went much after that. Too long of a trip etc.

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
