Nice catch, some fine eating
Dad just got his new 80lb 24volt I-Pilot installed on the skiff so we had to go try it out. Wanted to go to Talquin but all this rain has the big lakes messed up.
Fished from 7:30-1:30 and probably boated around 60+ fish. Caught quite a few war mouth and even a nice Jack. Seems like there's less and less Jack over the years. Kept about 20 crappie all about 10-12 inches. No big fish this trip. Trolled 1/16th Litewire Hooks and curly tail grubs.
I I-Pilot is amazing. We can record tracks with it and put it on autopilot and we can run all over the boat reeling in and netting fish and not worry about who's manning the trolling motor or keeping up with how fast we're going. We love it. Can't wait to get it over to Talquin or Cresent to slay some 2 and 3 pound crappie.
Will be back at Pates tomorrow to see if they're still biting where we left them.

Now you got my new electric motor fever on the upswing. Great report and photos. If I had a larger boat I would be figuring by hook and crook how to get one of those motors.
I am converted Motor Guide person to the I-Pilot - can't believe how much nicer it is
to work with - puts fishing back into fishing instead of working troller, speed, direction
watching rods, direction. Makes fishing fun again.
Congratulations on the Ipilot. It's the single most important piece to improve multipole crappie fishing.
CAUTION: Do not accidentally hit the Rabbit while standing in the boat!!! Dangerous!

considering i pilot myself.....do they make it in 12 volt or should i not even consider that and stick to the 24?
Agree with Skiff89jr.
They have a 12 volt series that will accomodate.......but would look at size of your
boat and what you plan on doing with it................Variable speed means you can
control speed from barely moving to haulin bottom.
Trolling for 6 - 8 hrs a day - the 24 volt is best way to go...............
Unless running an alum boat 16 ft or less - 12 might work ok............
