Nice day!
I am thankful my wife understands my needs for the outdoors & very thankful I have the chance to be able to fish the St. Johns & connecting waters.
We started out early Thanksgiving mornin at Harney, it was windy but worth the effort for the quality fish.
Big fish was 2 lb 1.5oz & then a 1 lb 15.6oz
Here's the canadian crappie catcher holdin 'em, he comes down every year from Canada & fishes with me from Sept to Dec. Why he goes back north in Dec is beyond me but Slab may know
Today we made the run for Crescent, got there early & saw slabkeeper(Jeff) at the ramp. Man that is one awesome boat you got, very nice !!
We started north of the island & caught a few nice fish, then ran to the north end & caught a 24" red fish. What a fight that fish gave on a 12' rod, man it was a blast but caused some tangles.
Neither of us had a current saltwater permit so back in the water he went to eat some more baby crappie
Here's a guber kissin him goodbye
We caught around 20 specks with big fish at 1lb 12oz
Saw "slow ride" leavin as we were eatin at 3 bananas, hope ya had a good day. Back to work on Monday but I will feel better about it since we got to fish twice & got a Crescent trip outta my system.
Hope to see ya'll at Monroe next weekend.
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

Nice work boys! Love that redfish too. My dad kept his redfish as he is a senior and doesn't think he needs to buy those pesky licenses any longer.

I love the colors of the fish in the second picture. The dark back, the upper and lower rear fins, and the tail fin just make them fish look gorgeous.
Nice catch.
Nice tailgate full to. Looks like you both had a fine day.
