A big round of for the cooks and helpers. Really good to see everyone for the start of a new season. I fished all summer long and yesterday was the hottest that I got. Sure glad it was a 1:00 weigh in and not 3:00. Looking forward to seeing everyone next month. John, no need to be sorry, crappie happens.

Don't give up long lining. Just fine tune it. I know for sure that the top 2 places were long lining. Can't remember if Stu was or not.

If you want a picture of Danny wait till you get to Crescent City and go to the post office and pick one up.

That figures, the attachment wouldn't even open. How are the 16's working out. I guess pretty good by the catch you had yesterday.

Thanks for letting me and my brother-in-law join in on the fun, food and festivities. We both had a great time and appreciated all of the sharing of information and knowledge of the area. The food was great and I really appreciate all of the hard work everyone put in to pull it all together. It was good to put faces with the names on the forum. You all have good thing going on and I hope that I can join in again in the future.

Another great gathering! And as always a BIG THANK YOU to our chapters Hearts and Souls, Speckanator / Mike, John, and Susan. Your constant efforts and devotion are deeply appreciated.

Great conditions, Good bite, Great folks, Great food, it was pretty much a picture perfect event Looking forward to the next one!

I pretty much caught most of my fish (30-35) in the deeper water a few hundred yards off the shoreline. Caught most of my fish pushing 2 inch curlytails, but also had poles out back long lining with lesser results prob due to the deeper water and being too lazy to add weight. I was completely relaxed and soaking it all in, remembering exactly why I love this type of fishing.

It was awesome to see the bellys on these younger fish. I think its going to be a great season on Monroe this year

Thanks again folks for the smiles and friendship................ It was a blessed day for sure!

Y'all have got the fat fish down there. Our Tourney yesterday's winner weighed 7 fish at around 6 1/2lbs. And we like to have froze before the sun got to work. Looks like a good time was had by all.
