    Default 5/17 & 5/18 Report

Saturday I put in at 44 with my wife & son, we went south & fished a few spots I haven't been to in a long time. Nothin specktacular showed up, caught a few cats & some small bluegill. Trolled around behind Hontoon Island, I think it's called the Dead River didn't catch a ton back there but we saw manatee's, alligator, eagles, turkey & deer. We came out the canal south of Blue Springs & headed back up river to 44.

By the time we made it out on the lake the wind had picked up, we long lined from east to west - lettin the wind do most of the work. Caught 18 specks by 2:30 & then headed home. Wish every weekend could be this awesome but I'll prolly stay away from the water this coming weekend since it will be a holiday.

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

Nice work Brian. I have sure ran into more bass this year than in a long time. That hight water a few years back musta done them real good. Some healthy lil jokers too.

Nice pictures and what a weekend you had! 18 specks has caught my attention...that is awesome. I have yet to wet a line on Harney, not even sure where that lake is located. Good for you getting out two times.

Do it more often. Great memories.
