    Default Super Slabfest 2 at Talquin Roll Call


    In 4 weeks, crappie.com members from GA, FL, AL, SC and IN (that I know of) will be making their "Pilgrimage" (Thx, Speckanator, for the word) to Lake Talquin for our annual Get Together. Most will be staying at Lake Talquin Lodge which is where the event will be held. They only have a couple of accommodations left so call now to make your reservations if you know that you are going (850-627-3822) Some will be staying down the Lake at Ingrams (850-627-2241).
    The format is basically the same as last year. On Thursday night, Nov 7, we will probably be going to one of the local eateries for dinner. We are trying to come up with some sort of fishing event on Friday and Friday night/evening, Nov 8, we will have our Fish Fry. Saturday, Nov 9 will be a day of fishing with a Hot Dog Lunch. We will be selling tickets for door prizes and the proceeds of the ticket sales will be going toward the food expenses.

    I would like to keep this thread as a "Sign In" thread only to get a head count so we can start planning on how much food to buy. Looking forward to seeing everyone at Talquin next month!!

    Cooking BBQ one night, steaks the next...shhhh...why am I saying this!!!! Uh we're on pb&j sandwiches the whole trip!!!! Hahahaha! Can't wait! Got lots of door prizes!

    Fish are biting! After being without an outboard for 8 months, I got to go this morning. Caught 15 nice slabs in 2 and a half hours, with several none filet size fish. It is only going to get better!
