If you don't have the time to make it from scratch you can do what I do. 1 can of progresso light clam chowder, the meat from 2 specs, 1 tbls old bay, 1 tspn garlic, 1 tspn pepper.
Let it simmer on low for a couple hours stirring now and then. You will be surprised how good it is once you get it spiced to your taste. JC
