    Default Tarpon a little slow...

on wed., but managed to bring home 11 nice eaters. Started working my spot at 7am with only 1 fish in well by 9. Moved on and worked about 25 docks. nothing. Went to canal, nothing. Went back to my spot and worked a little hump that was about 5 fow and loaded with hydrilla about 1pm. They had moved tight to the weeds. Guess it was due to the front that came through the night before. Used a road runner pro series with a pumpkin/chart/pepper tail. Was a lot of fun for the next hour and a half fighting them with 4lb test.

Not bad at all, if we limited every time out it would'nt make for much of a challenge, way to change spots & double-back to find some. I like the road-runner willow blade & found some on-line at cabela's with glow-in-the-dark chartreuse jig heads, use them on 2 of 6 poles trolling. They actually coin them as walleye spinners.

Like the roadrunners myself. Good story Vince, I always enjoy a happy ending.

Very nice Vince................Good follow through, explaining the who - what - where
and when........... Road runners on willow blades at Tarpon work good most of time.
Interesting that they hit on chart/black - have been working good on the
road runner gold series 1/16th, blue collar, chaut feather and gold flambaur streamer
    Again, thanks for expert explanation.
Roger & I worked on long-lining previous Saturday, took 11 keepers 11" up, but must
    have long-lined 10 miles solid for 6 1/2 hrs
