    Default December Slabfest

Here we go boys and girls! The December 3rd SLABFEST is scheduled to take place at Gilbert Park in Mt. Dora. The lakes will be Dora, Beaulclair, and Carlton, or anywhere else you care to fish. These lakes are a short kick from the Gilbert Park ramp. Any suggestions to make this event a success are welcome. Contact me or crappiegirl1. I thought maybe the slabfest needed a woman's touch! As usual it's a NO RULE fishing event with trophys awarded for the biggest fish and the stoutest 5. Don't get too excited the trophys will be coffe table size. Feel free to establish a $$ pool if someone wants to volunteer to spear head that. Also, we would like to give away door prizes such as light tackle or fishing related items (inexpensive). if any has suggestions or donations let us know. We have the cookers lined up as well as all the paper and picnic supplies. The only things we'll need folks to volunteer to bring is maybe a couple gallons of oil, tea, coverd dishes, or desserts etc. As always, friends and family are welcome!
