    Saturday, March 11th

    Lake Crescent
    Crescent city public ramp
    Crescent City, Fl.

Crescent started out a usuall =wave actuib somewhat calm -weather
excellant for fishing, but by 9:30am ole Crescent was on her usual roll,
winds from 12 -14 mph, gusting up into high teens, making for some
rough action - barometric pressure stayed on climb until 11:45 am
which should have been helpful to some. Based on earlier reports received
this week - several had thought weight to win would be around 8 - 9.5 lbs.

By the signs of weigh in - couple of old timers in Crescent world knew
where to find a few of those "bigger ladies".

Twenty-four (24) teams took on Crescent - with hopes of big winnings in

Two (2) positions paid for "big fish"

harold, some of us would like to know where we placed in the tournaments, would it be possible to list the competitor in the position that we finished ?
it would be great if you could do that for us. Thanks

Over the years it has been habit of some competitors - that if they were not in the contention for placement and/or
big fish - they would not weigh in and/or call it a pass.
This is a common practice on big tournaments.
I can list position of finish if most wish this with or without weight being shown.
Have dropped in past 2 yrs the type equipment, rig setup - water depth etc due to "lurkers" both guide & begnners to
check past postings for time of year etc, etc and go after fish
This way they do not have to become members but can gleen infomation needed...this has caused some high pressure on
some lakes - lowering the quality of fish. Got to leave some of the breeders to keep count good in lake - taking out the
10 - 11 inchers for food - leave the 14 - 18 inch for breed stock (take pictures and release)

I couldn't agree more about "lurkers" but as far as "place and weight goes" unless you're in the money you don't know where you placed or how far you may or may not be from the money! Give you a better idea of how you need to do next time!!

I agree with letting the big ones go.
I like to weigh them to see what my biggest 7 is.
I let anything over 2lbs go back into the river in Welaka.

I agree 100% - let the breeders go...
Little hard to do on tournaments through - as they stress quite easily after being in live wells for a few hrs, especially
when warmer weather starts to set in - 890 -90's.
    We'll see ....
