Johns Lake
hwy 50 public ramp
Cleremont, Fl.

Day open with 55 temp, water temp 52.8,
wind out of NW 4.6 mph, barametric press.
30.22 low and on the rise.
The low wind at 7am was best of the day,
wind continued to get worse, by 11am-
12.7 mph gusting to 17.5 mph, yea ha, by
pressure peaking high 30.28 - before starting to fall.

Sixteen (16) teams to the Johns lake
to check out the Crappie population.

Two (2) positions paid for "Big fish"

1st: Frank & Alex (wife) Busch
1 lb. 14.0 oz

2nd: Moose & Hillybilly Stevens
1 lb 11.4 oz.

Three (3) positions paid for "7 fish
catch weight"

1st: Wayne Loy
9 lbs 1.0 oz

2nd: Chuck Rayburn/Ray Nugent
6 lbs. 1.8 oz

3rd: Darryl & Terri Cole
6 lbs. 1.6 oz

1st:Wayne Loy: fished with 2-12'
Mr Crappie and 6 Uncle Bucks. 6' rods.
Wayne's day started with 2 1/2 drive to
Johns Lake, trolling motor would'nt work,
then had to paddle around looking for
place to fish- Stated out around launch
area bobber fished couple docks, caught
2 fish, went through gap into 2nd lake,
turned left into 12' ft water, $58 dollar
depth finder showed fish- set out all 8
rods, with #4 gold hook and minnow.
Caught 20 plus fish in one sport. Stayed
all day in one spot.

2nd: Rayburn team, spider rigged
BnN Duck Commander rods with colared
mylar Skipper jIgs - hot pink - blue head,
red collar & Red head, black collar, minnow tipped

3rd Cole team, Wally Marshall rods,
spider rigging, minnow tipped with Skippers muylar & ice jig combinations
red - yellow - hot pink - butterscotch -
new color: egg robin blue.
