Congrats and big tip of hat to all
competitors - it was a really tuff 2 day
weather controlled event. More of a
survival test of endurance.
Congrats to Florida Crappie Club members
for the great showing....

Thank you for the post Harold.

So now we know the caliber of teams that we fish against twice a month........Congratulation to all the teams.
Billy and Craig had trolling motor problems and went home on Friday. I know they were disappointed.
They broke in wind on lake and couldn't get parts anywhere in time to repair......
They were in pretty good position Friday to make a run at it on Saturday.
Bummer. Heard there was another boat that swamped out on Friday but unknown
if it was part of USA group.....
Darryl & George both said it was roughest Crescent has ever been in 20 plus yrs
they had fished it. George Parker partner Tim Eberly went home Thursday night
very sick with flu. George fished tournament solo both days - imagine having to
long-lne 6-8 rods, hook fish & landem, control boat and its complete operation and
still finish 2nd in pro div. (My hat is off to him for that feat)
Actually I swamped out around 4 a.m. Saturday morning. Could have been worse. I wish Billy would have called me. I probably had what he needed in my truck. I usually keep extra parts for situations like that.
Things happen like that when a team has trouble....More than likely you may have
been able to help had you known or they tought to call you.
I got lucky when radiator on truck split seam commin to Classic and one of teams
stopped by that was runnin solo , picked up my boat, me and on we came, after
we called wrecker 5 am- had truck towed to repair garage, told them would be back
saturday nite to get truck, prepaid $500.00 in advance to cover costs hopefully.
Stilled owed $15 when picked truck up - sent them Check on Monday
Just sorry you had no way of knowing wind-rain- on lake would cause you that much
grief. By pictures you micht have been staying at Leonards Landing.!
Excssive wind would have come direct into that marina causing quite a tidal rise.
We were at the Blue House at in the water next to Leonards.
