Today, the FCC & the world lost a true
friend, caring competitor, and a true
fisherman of this lifetime. We lost Johnny
Hobbs, 64 yrs old from Ocoee, Florida.
Johnny grew up on Lake Apopka honing his
skills fishing for ole Mr. Crappie and as time
passed he married and with his wife Barbara
they continued the hunt. More time passed,
along came Johnny Jr who learned to fish with his Dad on lake Apopka. This they talked about and remissnessed of time passed and how some day they would
again fish together on Apopka. John went into hospital last week with chest
pains, and through the week the hospital
worked with him putting in stints to ease
and help the heart. This along with a
couple heart caths really weakened John.
Today around 1pm, John's body gave up
and he moved upstairs to be in the hands of the "big man" taking aposition in line
for those wonderful crappie trips to come.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Johnny's family to help with the healing
and our club will miss him sorely, not only
as a competitor, but a TRUE FRIEND.
"John Hobbs", rest in peace, we are
grateful for the time you spent with us
on this earth.
