We have a 6 lane ramp at the lake I like and ALWAYS someone pulls up to prep on the ramp. Most of the time they stay 20' from the water and using the middle 2 ramps. This blocks 2/3 of the ramp since they are in the middle of it...

A couple years ago the wife and I got to the lake and a couple guys were parked in front of the ramp. Apparently they were planning to go spider rigging for the first time. They loaded the boat with their gear and then took the rods out of the back of the truck assembled, rigged, and placed them in the rod holders before they launched. Probably took 15 or more minutes. I would have like to seen them load up when they got finished.

We planned a fishing trip to our local lake it was hot so we got up before daylite went out fishing. The lake was low because of drought in our area we fished until about 10:00 am.We headed to the ramp to load the boat on our tralier. When we pulled up to the ramp their was a long line waiting their turn to put their boats in.While waiting a man and his wife were trying to load their boat onto their trailer. It was hot almost 100 dg she looked like she was ready to have a baby right then. She was trying to back the trailer into the water.Must have been her first time she was having trouble backing the trailer."Yes we should have help her but all the boat traffic we had our hands full"She finally got the trailer back into the water not very straight. The man had had way to much to drink it is hot 100 deg the place is packed with boats and trailers and people the man was trying to put the boat on the trailer with all the boat traffic it was almost impossible finally he got the boat loade on the trailer"Now this is a fiberglass ski boat 22' and heavy" its hot he's had to much to drink he's mad" They were pulling the boat with an suv that was to small needed a bigger truck.Back to the Lady he finally got the boat loaded "said to her pull it out the fiberglass 22' ski boat its 100 deg and hot they both are mad and hot.She puts the Small SUV in drive starts to pull the boat out the SUV would not move because of the weight of the fiberglass 22' ski boat and waves from all the boat traffic. The folks in line to put thier boats in are mad and shouting at them to get their boat out it won't move the drunk man yells at his wife "Gun it,Gun it,I said give it the SUV some gas and gun it"She stomped on the gas" The boat hasn't been tied down on the front. You would think that heavy 22' fiberglass boat would stay on the trailer and it probaly would have if not for all the huge Boat waves. When she stomped on the gas the Little SUV lunged forward and started pulling the boat out.As the boat and trailer came out of the water a big wave hit the boat washed the boat 22' at least off the trailer onto the" concrete boat ramp with a loud bang"Now the drunk man was mad its 100 deg she about to have that baby right their and a long line yelling at him and her.Now the big 22' fiberglass ski boat is setting on the ramp off the tralier. It took a bunch of us to push the brand new 22' fiberglass ski boat back into the water and get it loaded on the trailer which we should have done anyway. Its still 100 deg hot and a bunch of mad folks. It was funny at first but not any more its 100 deg and hot!!!.My grandfather walked over to the drunk mad man and said if you say another word to her That baby not going to have a father to take him or her sking you know what I am talking about. He the drunk mad man did'nt say another word that we could hear!!!!

At the local lake I fish at there are always guys catfishing fishing off the ramp or courtesy dock even though NO Fishing off the ramp or dock is posted. No enforcement. A guy puts in and proceeds to get his prop tangled in heavy braided line they were using. It snatches several of their rods into the water. Now everyone is yelling. By now the rods that got pulled in are about 15ft out in the water, the boater raises the motor and cuts the lines loose.......I left about that time as thats just too much drama for me but it was getting ugly.

I have a boating/fishing buddy that says they should put bleechers by boat ramps because of all of the funny stuff you can see happen there.
