I was fishin' one afternoon when I noticed this log running down the bank and into the water. There was a hickory nut about 4 or 5 inches out of the water just layin' there on the log. Well, pretty soon this squirrel comes snoopin' around and sees the hickory nut. He scurried toward the log, down to the nut, picked it up and starts to gnaw on it...

About that time this big 12 lb largemouth bass jumps out of the water, swallows the squirrel and nut whole, and lands back in the water on the other side of the log!

I stood there in amazement for a while just starin' at that log and what I had just witnessed when the water broke again. That dang bass jumped up on the log, spit the nut out in the very place the squirrel had found it, and slipped quietly back in the water......................
