The blue rod on top is a Browning Silaflex Graphite #332980 and the red one is a Shakespeare Alpha XT # SAS 2663. My wife suggested I cut out her face since she is camera shy. Both rods were $10 a rod. Was it a good deal?
Hit the pond around 11AM. Nice and chilly. It must of been 57 degrees or so. It was nice and sunny. Wife caught the first rainbow trout and I caught a very small rainbow a few minutes after her. Her second cast landed her a 10 LB chub. She decided to take the needle nose pliers and pick him up by the mouth. She releases him and guess what else?? The needle nose pliers as well! Doh I laughed and laughed at her. I wish I had a video of it. Thank god I had a spare in my tacklebox. So anyway she beat me with 5 trout and I only had 1. Her biggest trout was maybe a 4-5 LB trout. I wish I had something to weigh him. Left about 2:15 PM since we had to go somewhere and brought home the keepers. On the way back someone was selling rods o' plenty. Brought home 2 rods for $20 together. One is a Shakespeare and the other is a Browning. Both are in mint condition and looked like they were barely used if at all. I got a pic of my wife and her trout and will get pics of the rods I bought. I want you guys to tell me if I got a sweet deal

It was one heck of a great day! Went fishing at Swartswood lake and only caught a baby pumpkin seed sunfish. Went back to the ol' fishing hole where we caught the trout and got skunked pretty bad. Maybe its the overcast weather? Had a couple hits but no tight lines
