Default You have had a bad Day when

You have had a bad bay when you go fishing and a friend is setting in your tops for the second day in a row,the one you showed him and the best spot that you have put condos all around. Then when you drop your new pole overboard then the top blowes off of your shinner bucket and you hit a wave and water splashes all over you. You have had a bad day.

You have had a bad day when your main fishing partner ( my eleven year old son) was in charge of putting the tackle box in the back of the truck and driving sixty miles to fish and him say ut oh, I left it by the back door and every hook, jig, piece of lead and LICENSE is in that thing. That happened last summer.

You know you have a bad day when you lose your brand new transom mounted trolling motor because you forgot to raise it up while running your outboard That happened my first trip out. :D

One of my memorable bad days - about 60 miles from home, 50 degrees,
my tie rope wouldn't reach anything 'cause the water was so low, so
I thought I'd just pull it way up on the bank till I parked the truck...
WRONG answer! Just as I got back to it, it backed up, and did a 180
(gust of wind) and started out towards middle of lake. Nobody else there,
of course. So I dove in after it, got wet up above my knees. Once you
get water INSIDE gore-tex boots, they don't dry out for a LONG time!
I keep spare boots and clothes in the truck all winter after that.

Chowan River and we had launched at Gatesville. Wind and rain came up very suddenly so we tied off on a staub sticking up in the middle of the creek (Goose Creek for those that know the area). The water kept rising and the wind kept blowing. When it finally died down we headed for the landing. When we got there, the pier was under water and the water was so high that I jumped overboard and pulled the boat to the trailer where it sat in the parking area. Didn't have to move it an inch. On the way home we had many detours due to trees across the road and many low areas flooded. We found out later that a tornado had come thru. The weather forcast for the day was clear and sunny. Boy did they blow that one.

You show up at work on a vacation day. Happened recently to me. I am either dedicated or a dumbash, or a combination of both. Lost a day at the lake somehow............
