What is the best for a 997? Tired of holding my hand above the unit.

Might not be the best, but it's the only one I know of designed for specific models of electronics.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

I have that on my 997. Works good, and is durable.

I like that, but they do not show one for the 1197. Do you know of anybody that makes one for the 1197??
    Thanks in advance.

Didn't see a model on their site, but I'll bet they've got one just not listed yet. I'd give 'em a call.

However, I'll bet a dollar to a donut any decent metal shop would take a piece of aluminum and bend it, debur and clean up the edges for you for about the same price. Can of spraypraint and you'd be in business.

Thanks that's a great ideal. We have a machine shop less than 1/4 mile from our shop, they do alot of our switch brackets and mounts. I could do it in mirrored aluminum and not paint it, may keep the unit cooler in the hot of summer. :D
    Again thanks.

Check Cabelas out. They have the visor on special. Cabela's -- RaptorCap™ Sonar/GPS Hood

I have used mine over a year. Bright days I use it and on cloudy days I don't. One of the best investments I have made.

    Good luck
