Thread: Trolling motor location

I have a MK Maxxum mounted on my 20 ft Shadow Bass Boat. It hangs over to the right about 3 or 4 inches. I troll for crappie and I have a heck of time going in a straight line. Can or does it make any differance if the TM was directly in line with the nose of the boat? Does this make sense?

this will make a difference you want to be as close to center as you can. when the first put my mk auto pilot on they had to redo it and center it up made all the difference in the world
