Default Question for Joby HB wide 100

I have a wide HB 100 unit that is funtioning fine but there is nothing showing but an empty screen. I can change sensitivity, bottom alarm, fish alarm, etc but there is no depth reading, fish images or anything else. The transducer is plugged into the bottom of the unit as well as power wire. I have noticed that the transducer wire appears to POSSIBLY have been pulled slightly out but still attached to the base unit. The trans wire appears to have an inner clear covering that is encapsulated within the black outer wire. The clear covering is showing compared to the power wire that has no clear sheathing showing. Do you have any suggestions? Please advise.

    Default

It sounds like it is the transducer, but you know it is hard for me to say.

    Default Bad transducer

I talked to a troubleshooter at the HB factory. A lady who I talked to felt that the transducer was bad. A replacement transducer on close out is $34.95 + $10.00 for FEDEX
A side note.. a 300tx takes the same base as the 100 Wide but a different transducer which is on clearance for $30.00
