    I'd use a 50 or 60 amp circuit breaker.

How big is the wire? What size breaker does the TM manual call for. You can't put a breaker in bigger than the wire can support. It takes 6AWG wire to handle a 50A breaker.

A 40 amp fuse or breaker will work fine.
