Thread: New Humminbird software updates now available!

Gives us a couple of weeks on the 987. It should be released very soon.

I have one request when download software in your unit. Before you update your software in your unit make sure you restore factory defaults before you download the new software.

What difference will that make? And if I have already downloaded it without restoring the factory defaults, what do I need to do, reinstall?

I was actually pleased that the upgrade kept all my settings/preferences. Usually I have to spend quite a bit of time resetting all my preferences.

Couple of weeks has went by still no up date for 987C.

Yea, but it's starting to look alot like Microsoft I've upgrading for what 20 years, it don't seem to get much better. I do programming everyday and these folks and Microsoft have to be in bed together. If I had sent some code like this to a job site they would have laugh me off their site. Come on get it together.

Well they did manage to update the 967 this past week.. My buddy and I stopped in Eufala, Alabama at the Humminbird factory.. They updated his 987c and I thought maybe there was the new TVG control (not yet).. They did however complete the second phase of the updates because the 967 has the new TVG option.. Hopefully the 987 will be next

Anybody heard anything more on when the 4.51 update will be available for the older units. I would certainly like to upgrade my 987c and 777c2 based on the posts I have seen on the new software.
