    Default question

i bought a 997 for the helm, i want to move my lowrance 332c to the bow, i bought a plate from ram that attaches to my current ram mount that lets me put the gps puck behind the unit so i do not have to put another hole in my boat, now i have heard if i do not mount it at least 3 feet away the gps will not work, any suggestions or comments will help.

I can speak for the Humminbird GPS Antenna. You can mount the GPS PUCK right behind the unit without a problem.

    Default misleading nomenclature

    That is a GPS receiver.

Here is an antenna....I picky about technical names....Like, it is a sonar, not a fishfinder. Just me.....

My 997 GPS receiver will pick up in the house.....Not bad.....
