Default Screen images and interpretations. (dial up beware)

Lets use this thread to show ANY and ALL of your sonar screen images. Whether they are from a card, cord, or camera/ black and white or color. Try to not make them to big for helping of loading the image.

Then the poster or readers can comment on what they see and what they wonder about. Many people look at different things and are really good at different aspects of a sonar.

    Lets see some images!

South Carolina Page...GREAT INFO AND IMAGES!!

Jerry Blakes archived thread on fish finders...GREAT READ!! Check it out!

    http://www.crappie.com/crappie/archi...hangy-etc.html

Eagle and Lowarnce Emulators...download these free and use them on your computer...allows you to play with your particular units options and see what each of the settings do from the comfort of your home...then you can try it in the real world...it cycles ands shows baitfish/fish/different structures/depths and bottoms. Really good resource...and saves time for fishing instead of playing with your electronics.

It's been said that PVC trees dont show up on your finders very well. Not true. Here's the tree i placed.

And here's what shows up on my Eagle 320 sonar.

This is what i caught from it last friday, after it being in the water for a few months.

Here is a 997 si picture of a large 16' bamboo condo i put out. it's in about 35' water. i can see some bait balls to the left of the tree, but there is something kinda unusual looking lurking on the right side of tree. any ideas? you may have to enlarge the pic. to see it a little better.

Only thing I got right now, some balls of shad - and the solid line on
the 107 frequency (right side) is downrigger ball. Was pulling some crankbaits
and did catch a green carp right after this picture about 6 lbs :o

Interesting shot.. Huge Sturgeon?.. How about big school of crappie disguising themselves as one large fish..

Don't know, but a really cool pic.. Thanks for sharing

I know absolutely nothing about these SI units, don't have & never have had one, but ....

considering that the condo shows up as white, bait balls show up as white, Bluegill on beds/Crappie around bridge pilons show up as white ... I'm thinking this is a Catfish that is "much" closer to the transducer than the condo. Without the distance markings, it's hard to judge ... but, if that's a 16ft tall stand of boo ... then the fish has to be quite a bit closer to the transducer, or else it's Moby Flathead :p

    Question Hey Chaunc .....

    two questions :

Is that PVC tree rigged to float above the concrete anchor, or just lay over on its side (once it hits bottom)

Since you have obviously removed it from wherever it "had been for months" (as evidenced by the algae growth & it being in the boat) ... did you put it back in around those good looking concrete bridge pilons :p
    (I know I sure would have :D )

Looks like your Black & White Crappie like to hang together, too :p ... nice bunch of fish !!

The picture is rotated. So which way is the boat headed?
