Man I got to see some nice screen shots yesterday. Did not have my card in the unit.
But man schools of crappie as we did catch some crappie out of them.
The Tn river was up and running . But the back water spots. Well lets say i think I found where the crappie were hanging out. Did not have the right tackle with me. I had taken out my jigging rods.
Going back today if I can get the boat in .
These fish showed up on the SI unit so easy it was like cheating. Then marked them and went to the trolling motor and got on top of the beds. Man this interlink is the bomb.
This is what they showed up as

This shot is not one from yesterday. But about the same.
    Live is good.

nice pic. is that shot zoomed in. because on my unit with a 65ft spred in 17ft of water, the water line(dark blue) is much thinner and the speckles only show up as dots on the screen. what setting do u have your unit to get results like that. thanks for the help

    Chowan,
Pete will hopefully see your post and respond. In the picture he posted it is showing on one side of the Si sonar. Setting your unit to show Si sonar from only one side will effectively double the displayable resolution, so everything will look twice as big. The problem with this of course is that you are missing everything on the opposite Si sonar…
Which Si unit do you have?

    Default HB SI/DI/2D Screenshots

Well, I would have thought that someone would have posted shots from the new upgrade by now... Since they have'nt, I'll throw a few in here. These were taken today with my 1197.. Still playing with/Learning the DI.. I like it!
    Thanks HB!!!!
OK, there is a little interference in the pics caused by my unit having difficulty maintaining GPS lock... Extreme cloud cover and rain today.. Lake O The pines.. Lots of Bait Fish.. Enjoy

My First time out with my New Humminbird 898c SI!

WOW! This thing is awesome! You have to see one in action! You will defenatly want one! I saw thingg! Lotsa things! We bound brushpile after bruspile! We found Gar, Catfish and Crappie! No matter what you are fishing for I can see how these units defenatly will make you more sucessful! See the pics below!

    A Lot of fish!

    And more fish!

    A Big Gar!

    Brushpiles! Zoomed in 2x

    Same one zoomed in 4x

We also found that you can check juglines without even touching them!
A nice catfish which i fiured to be 8-12#'s!

Another of the same catfish from a recording.

    Another Huge Fish!

A batch of Condos I put out last year (Pic form right on top of them)!

    Same Condos From the side.

Even though it was my first outing and everything was just about at default; the HB 898 is dialed in pretty well! We spent more time exploring rather than fishing. Its not hard to get caught up watching the FF rather than fishing!

BTW, I have never seen Arches on any of my FF till today! It was nice to do so!

Guys, this may not be the place, but I need some advice. My Lowerance 125 all of a sudden stared showing 60 fow and blinkin. I tried to to turn it off and on, disconnect the connections, re-boot, couldn't find a factoy default. Do you think it most probably is my transducer? Really stumped.

    Thanks guys.

Check your transducer cable for damage. Find a buddy that has same unit and hook your DF to his transducer and see if problem goes away.

OK here are some more good ones!

Bait Ball above a small brush pile.

    Nice BIG Brushpile!

    Another BIG Brush Pile.

A bunch of fish next to a Brush Pile! These fish were feeding as we caught fish from this spot.

Some more fish next to a Brush pile.

Christmas Trees that Dave And I dropped a while back.
