    Default Pinpoint Trolling Motors ????

Anyone ever own one of these ? I love to spider rig and sidepull. This seems like this would be the IDEAL motor for either of these applications.

I have looked at these for a l-o-n-g time. I have never bought one being put off by the high price. I see where Motorguide has bought them out too.

So are they worth the bucks or no ? That creek and depth auto-tracking always got me to salvitating over buying one.

The good, they are great to fish with they track channels have a lot of power great battery conservation and best of all have 5 transducer views with a finder. The bad, they quit working and your screwed. The ugly is its almost always $350 or more plus shipping to fix. I bought the stand alone finder hooked it to my motor and could split the screen and read back and front, front and side, left or right. I loved it I just got tired of it quiting (usually prefishing a tournament). I still have mine but its not working I was going to repair it but now im going to buy a new si humminbird instead. If I was rich id have 2 and be happy. I noticed that there are several on ebay pretty cheap right now. I used mine for 5 years and repaired it 2 times. I liked it so much I still might fix it.

DON'T DO IT!!! I don't have time to go in to it now but have had 2 of them. When they work they are great but they don't stay working. And there are only 3 places in the country that work on them.

Thanks guys . Thats exactly what I wanted to know. You would think someone could build a RELIABLE one of these and at an reasonable price. Thanks for your honesty it will prevent me from throwing money away on an useless item.
