Default Any body know how to fix this?

The original graph unit that came with my boat (10 years ago) is giving me fits. It says it is a Tracker unit; sure looks like a Hummingbird to me.

When I open the big motor up, the screen disappears like the transducer is seeing all bubbles. Actually nothing is on the screen. To get my screen back I turn the unit off, then restart. The diagnostic reads "Low voltage detected". The power reads 12 volts. This unit is on the same power and ground wire as my front unit and it gives me no problems. When I turn the original unit off, it gives me a vertical line just before it shuts down.

It is probably time for a new unit. But, I couldn't afford all of the shoes and hand bags that would be purchased if I bought one.

    Any ideas??

Have you checked the connectors at the unit for corrosion?

I had one that was doing this and had to move transducer cable away from motor wiring. But it sounds like your worked at one time and just started this.

Is the unit up front a Hummingbird? If so swap the two and see if it does the same! This will tell you if it is in the wiring or unit. If there is coorosion it also would do this or a bad connection.

Check the mounting bracket for corrsion also. If it's a H.B. it will have the quick connect bracket
You can't finish what you don't start
