    Default PowerBox

I just made a homemade Powerbox for my Livescope unit and I must say I should have done this a long time ago. It has a USB port and a couple of banana post for additional accessories. Hold unit weighs less than 8lbs and can be brought inside and plug up to charge the lithium battery. I highly recommend it for guys with jon boats or kayaks.

I made one out of a harbor freight 50 cal. plastic ammo box. I put a 16 volt 18 amp hour amped outdoors lithium battery. I put an sae connector in one end for a charge jack & in the other end i put 2 which is one for power for the gls 10 & one for power for the head unit. I put a fuse between the charge jack & battery & then between the battery & a led lit when on power switch & it works great& has no problem lasting 12 hours. In my opinion independent power whether a box or separate battery is by far the best way to go if you want clean interference free images. I just back into the garage plug up chargers & go back out in a few hours & unplug them & ready for the next trip. Simple & ilike simple.

I'm going to add some banana post and a battery monitor once Amazon delivers them. These boxes are modular and you can add any type of terminals you like. Plugs, USB ports, cigarette plugs, led lights, battery monitor etc. Throw in a small lithium battery and your good to go. This one is going to power my livescope setup and small bait aerator hence the two plugs on the side.
