I use a small lithium battery to run my garmin. I'm looking for an inexpensive way to secure it in the boat. I have used a bungee strap before but looking for other ideas.

I'm using something similar to this.

If you want some kind of cushion under the battery you can use the thin foam mesh type shelf liner material from walmart. I helps keep the battery from shifting around.

That would work well

I have mine in place with Velcro. The front side is against the "front" of the boat so any sudden stops, it still doesn't move. I figured that's all I need cause I'm certainly not taking off fast. This is the third year, and it's not move yet. I bought something like a 20 pack from Amazon five years ago for around $10. Super easy install and no drilling.

I picked up a cheap batter box at Bass Pro. It was like $10

I use an ammo box from Harbor Freight. Costs $4 on sale. Velcro holds it in place.
