Does anyone know why Amped Outdoor batteries have to be removed from your boat and charged inside?

Could have something to do with the fact that Amped Outdoors batteries are Lithium ION batteries (like the EV batteries), and not Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries.
Lithium Ion batteries are prone to overheating & have the potential to catch fire or explode when they do overheat.

Thanks for the info Pappy, I think I’ll go in another direction. I don’t like the idea of removing batteries every trip if I don’t have to.

Ionics has been awesome for me. I run a 100 amp for cranking and accessories. 2-50 amps for my terrova. Troll and livescope, never been below 50 percent. The Bluetooth is great.

Sorry Impulse I didn’t see your message before I had ordered a Li Time battery. Reviews look good so I thought I would give it a try. Price was very good.

Now I can fish 6-8hrs without a issue. From what I read these units want clean power, so a single source battery close to the black box is the best set up. Also I read so much about how much voltage a Livescope system should run on, I called Garmin to ask, they said they run best at 11.7 volts. I just bought a new to me boat and will rig it with the Dewalt batteries.
When you run a pair of drill batteries and a pair of adapters you could just buy a Amped Outdoors 32AH with charger for less money and more AH. I run black box and 12'' screen all day with single battery. Rigged mine up in a plastic ammo box with quick connects for unit or the charger making it easy .

I charge mine in unheated garage . Some say if temps too low some batteries fail to charge .
