I run 4-29 series everstarts from walmart. 2 for the trolling motor, 1 for the cranking battery, 1 for livescope black box, garmin 106 sv and garmin 93 sv. I've fished (longlined) many days from daylight to dark with the livescope on all day and never had any battery issues? Hope my good luck continues. Trying to understand the true benefit to have the lithium ion?
What I see mostly is less weight, longer warranty, and in some cases a Bluetooth connection to keep track of charge level (on the water).
I only have the one 50ah Lithium that I bought to use for my LS setup ... and even it was a "test run" just to see how long it would last. I only got to use it one time, and it wasn't fully charged when I did. It lasted about 6hrs running the Garmin 93sv unit & Livescope (constantly on for the whole 6hrs). I chose an off brand that cost me about 1/2 of what a brand name battery does.
I live in an apt complex and have to bring batteries & equipment into & out of my upstairs apt, so weight is the dominant factor for me. At my age and condition, humping a couple of 30-45lb batteries down the stairs & out to the truck, then back up the stairs when I get home, is getting to be a task.
