Dedicated livescope unit
I am trying to get everything in my mind for my upcoming boat purchase...I will be installing Garmin electronics and I was wondering if it would be better to have a dedicated unit to run the livescope? I was thinking about having a 10" for the regular sonar and a 9" dedicated to the livescope only? Or can I have just the 10" for everything? Most likely going to be on stick steer boat if that matters. TIA

Even though it’s easy to swap views on a garmin livescope down to side or 2d or mapping I found it way easier more efficient to have a dedicated livescope unit. That being said my dedicated “livescope” unit is tied to my gt54 transducer so I can view everything on it as well. It’s nice to have a dedicated mapping unit in my opinion. Can leave it up while following contours looking for waypoints while sweeping livescope or side imaging to find you intended targets.

Yes, a dedicated unit for your Livescope. I have Lowrance's AT 2 and started with a 9" screen and a 12" for mapping and 2d/downscan. After having problems with my 9 I upgraded to another 12, it made a huge difference, at least to me.
