I have a pvc pole a bolt in the top that’s threaded into I believe about 3/8” hydraulic hose the another bolt threaded into the end and a small t-handle welded onto that bolt. The hydraulic line is about 3’ long I can twist the t handle and spin my pole. I copied off of a YouTube guy and can’t think of his channel. My setup works but needs some fine tuning, but not getting up and no leaning and reaching. Can leave the t handle on your lap. I still tend to remove it and lean and reach sometimes.

I have a bench mount bicycle repair stand that i bought off of amazon to hold my diy pole & sit in a portable bench seat that attaches to a seat post. I can sit & work remote with left hand or use trolling motor pedal either one & turn my pole right to left with my right hand to search while moving along pretty fast. I made a mount for my graph that raises it to about 2 feet above the deck with a tennis ball on a tee to absorb shock when running & just lay it down when moving. I bought a 60" terrova to avoid bending over in rough water after some great advice from Doug ( MR Dux) on here & glad i did because it's easier to stow in rough water. With the bench seat my buddy or i either one can just swivel around & step right out of the seat onto the front deck without danger of falling in. Safety is why i did my setup like i did because i fish alone a lot of times & in my opinion there's no margin for error for being safe anytime when fishing alone & especially in the dead of winter. I like the way i have mine setup.
