    Default Quickdraw Contours

I am wondering if anybody finds Garmin Quickdraw Contours is very helpful. I have not really got into it yet but I can see how structure changes can be located, Any thoughts?

I like and use it for a couple small city lakes that aren’t mapped. Comes in handy for that but takes an extremely long time to map everything in a kayak….lol. You do learn a lake pretty good though by mapping it.

Does everybody else’s contours take the normal looking lake outline and once you count our it actually look like you added lake area it pushes the shore lines out of whack on my units. Is this normal it drives me a little crazy. Sorry to steal your post. Overall I do like the quick draw option a lot of lakes I fish are mapped and are way off until I remap them

I use it all the time although it is not perfect. Just make sure you are setting your offset for the lake level if lower or higher than full pool. This way it is the most accurate. I noticed that my lakes were pretty good but it has been a while since Garmin updated the chartography for any of the lakes that I have fished and the quickdraw has helped out incredibly. I just make sure the offset is good and record my entire day.
