    will a brushless trolling motor be worth the investment over a motor with brushes to long line troll ? thoughts .

    I don't troll, but my Ghost doesn't use up the batteries like my Fortrex did.

    I haven’t used a brushless tm yet, but from what I’ve seen with battery powered hand tools, I believe they’re gonna be the bomb. Wouldn’t you know I just invested in a mega expensive one with brushes a year before I became aware that brushless was on the horizon. Gonna have to wait awhile to switch over.

    Supposed to more efficient due to no frictional losses

    I haven’t one yet. Reckon that a brushless motor would mean that I wouldn’t have to buy lithium batteries.

    I would think there would be less chance of electrical interference as brushes arcing can cause it.

    Brushless and lithiums and a fella would only have to charge up twice a year

    I'm running one on the same lead acid batteries my Fortrex was on. The batteries last longer with the brushless motor.
