Default See Livescope and waypoints at the same time

Is it possible using a 1042xsv, to use Forward Facing Livescope and at the same time seeing a nearby waypoint?

    Example -
While using FF Livescope and looking for a submerged object that is marked with a waypoint.

    Thanks in Advance,
    Danny

I haven’t used the 1042 specifically but every other Garmin I have used will allow you to run a split screen with chart/waypoints on one window and Livescope in the other. I set my tournament partners front unit up with a quick select to a custom split screen with a small window on left side of screen with his waypoint’s and larger window for LS on the right side. Then setup another quick screen for LS full screen. So he runs split screen until he sees whatever he wants to fish and then can hit one button to go back to full screen.

    Thanks, Pab.

I did a search for “quick select quick screen” and didn’t find anything. Is it called something else? Your solution sounds good and I’d like to implement it.

It’s not a screen, may also be called presets, it’s the 1,2,3, and 4 buttons probably just below the four way button on right side of unit. Once you have a screen you want you just hold down the 1 for example to save the screen you are on. You would build the screen you want from the main menu, I believe it’s called combos on most of Garmin units.

It works pretty good, whenever one of my old Lowrance units I run mapping and waypoints on now dies, I will probably just add another Garmin in the back and run my boat that way.

    It's called combo screen.

    Creating a New Combination Page

    • Select Combo > Add Combo.
    • Select a window.
    • Select a function for the window.
    • Repeat these steps for each window of the page.
    • Hold a window to rearrange it.
    • Hold a data field to select new data.
    • Select Layout, and select a layout.
    • Select Name, enter a name for the page, and select Done.
