    Default Humminbird Lakemaster VX

Is anyone using the new Humminbird Lakemaster VX mapping card? Is it worth the upgrade from the old card? Is the Premium version of the VX worth the extra 50 bucks?

I do not have one but first make sure your unit is compatible first. I do know you have to update the built in mapping first to even use the VX series.

I came over from navionics cards, only grudgingly bought the vx because my newest unit only takes the micro size cards. My old navionics were full size and would not fit. Glad I did now, will be picking up another soon. Absolutely love the customizable depth range colors and lake level offset. The main thing I saw different with the higher priced ones was aerial views which didn’t interest me. Seems like they added the option to shade colors light to dark within a given color too. But I’m really happy with the basic vx!
My helixes are gen 4, I did not have to update anything, just plugged it in.
