Thread: Time to Convert?

I heard that. The battery and charger showed up to my door step about 24 hours after I placed the order with Lithium Hub. I am very impressed with the app. The app provides a lot of live information that I can use to get some hard data on my power usage. Here's a few pictures from some testing I did yesterday.


This picture is the amount of power that my 93SV is drawing on its own.



Here's the trolling motor running full throttle on 5. It's a Minn Kota Endura 30lb.



And here's the draw of the 93SV, Trolling motor (at full throttle), and a Garmin Striker 4 all simultaneously. I didn't include a picture of the Striker's draw since it was so miniscule.

I'll have time this week to take the boat out with the new battery and i'll give a full on review! So far, I am impressed with the speed of delivery, the app, and the amount of juice this thing holds!

Update after two 6 hour trips no charging in between.

Day 1 was extremely windy and I got the battery maybe to 85-80% from having to use the trolling motor a little more than usual. Picked a few fish out of the water with the jig pole while I was out there.

Day 2 was a more typical condition day. The water was flowing a little better today and I wasn’t fighting a gusty breeze all day. Caught a handful of these
Found him about 13 feet below at the mouth of the creek.

Here’s where the battery lies before I put the charger on to get ready for tomorrow morning.




The lithium battery has definitely opened my eyes to what is electronically possible on my boat now. Maybe LS in a couple of years? Maybe some LED floorboard lights to help me see where I’m stepping in the boat in the early hours. Overall, I’m satisfied with the 100AH battery and would highly recommend going with lithium batteries if you’re in the market, especially the small boat folks out there.
